Seeing the Kataang vs. Zutara is stiking again in my TL I only want to say that my fav ships are:

- Zukka!

- Ace Toph

- Ty Luki

- Cat and independent girl Katara

- Poly Aang with some new boys and girls (you need a tribe to rise a child with airbending)

Or: The gaang polycule because they all deserves love

Soooo, let people enjoy things and, especially, this masterpiece.

PD: Azula is not in the list because she deserves a redemption arc and enter in the gaang but I don't see her with anyone, suki maybe but 🤷🏻‍♀️

here's a drabble where toph and zuko are going back and forth about a possible gaang party ten years after the end of the war. it was supposed to be a longer fic that included established zukka and developing ty lee/suki.

“I don’t think this is a good idea,” Zuko says. As the Fire Lord, his hesitation would be law for almost anyone. But Toph is not almost anyone. Toph is Toph, and she does exactly what she wants. 

“You never do anything fun anymore, Lameo,” she tells her. 

“I already threw a party. It was just a few weeks ago.” 

Toph glares. “You threw a big, boring party for the ten year anniversary of the end of the war. You didn’t see any of your friends.” 

“I’m seeing you now,” Zuko says, just to be contrary. 

“Nope,” Toph says, “doesn’t cut it. If I don’t get to laugh at Aang and Sokka drunk off their asses, then we didn’t hang out properly.” 

“We’re adults now,” Zuko says, “we all have responsibilities? What would people say if they saw the Avatar like that?” Or any of the rest of them, for that matter. It’s not just Aang and Zuko who have important political positions in this brave new world. Every single one of them has a reputation to uphold. 

“No one has to see us,” Toph says, rolling her eyes, “we can lock ourselves together in your chambers and get plastered.” 

Zuko takes a moment to think about it, then he says, “That’s not a bad idea, actually.” All the fun of a hang out session without the possibility of anything going wrong? If he gives his servants the night off, then there won’t be anyone to even think of disturbing them. 

“Of course it isn’t. I thought of it,” Toph says. Zuko finds himself grinning, just a little. 

“Uh huh,” he says. 

“Okay,” Toph says, “so: guest list. You, me, Twinkletoes, Sugar Queen, Sokka. Should we invite your scary girl friends?” 

“You mean… Mai and Ty Lee?” Zuko asks. 

Toph snaps. “Yeah, them! And then Suki, of course.” Oh. Yeah. A group get-together would include Suki, wouldn’t it? He and Suki have never really been “friends” and he’s dating her ex now, and he’s sure that it’s going to be awkward. He can manage, though. The rest of the group love her, so he’s sure it’ll be fine. 

And he can’t exactly not invite her, right? This is fine. (It’s fine!)

Avatar Sapphic Week, Day five; New beginnings

I know Ty lee technically already knows how to apply the Kyoshi Warrior makeup, but I kinda liked the idea that her first time donning the armour was a bit of a ceremony during which Suki helped her apply it.

Sokka buys Suki favored lip gloss because he likes the taste when he kisses her.

Zuko catches on and does the same but gets Katara flavored lip balm because she prefers a matte look.

Aang knows better and just wears lip balm and gloss in Toph's favorite flavors.

Ty Lee got herself pineapple lip gloss and Mai coconut lip balm and yells 'Pina colada kisses!' before pouncing on Mai.

random, but I just realized that in, say, a hypothetical alternate universe where the writers made Katara and Zuko fall in love, get married, and have kids, Zuko would most certainly teach their child non-bending means of attacking/defending themselves. Hell broke loose when Tui was temporarily dead, which left all water-benders temporarily unable to bend. A Solar Eclipse event leaves all fire-benders temporarily unable to bend as well. Katara and Zuko both experienced what it's like for them and all of the fellow benders of their element to lose their powers on a massive alert scale. Zuko and Katara would 200% have their child learn the way of the sword and martial arts. Not just because of culture, but because Zuko and Katara know how scary things get when your bending is turned off in such a serious way, and wouldn't want their child to be defenseless.

AAAAA SO CUTE I LOVE THIS!!! Additionally, their uncle would be the Chief if the Southern Water Tribe and their aunt would be the leader of the Kyoshi warriors. They're fan and sword!!

Let's not forget that Ty Lee taught the Kyoshi warriors chi blocking!! Remember that Ty Lee destroyed Katara. If they have a none bender child theh could go toe to toe with bending masters.

And and and in my AU their kids went through one of these Water Tribe sailing tests that signify maturity. (Really hope Bumi did, Tenzin probably didn't).

Zuko and Katara would want their kids to know all non-bending martial arts so Zuko'd teach them swordsmanship and Katara'd ask Sukka for help and they'd be very normal about that.

Katara: Hey I thought you might want to teach A-

Suki and Sokka, together: Say no more.

Zutara's kids will be so powerful. Especially the hypothetical non-benders. Ty for the ask, have a nice day💕

As much as I love Sokka and Suki together, I do think about how Sokka and Ty Lee would’ve been a hilarious and wholesome enemies-to-lovers side plot in ATLA.

Ty Lee already kinda has a thing for Sokka and flirts with him every chance she gets, even when they’re fighting. Imagine the dilemma of Sokka being totally smitten with Ty Lee while also being terrified of her.

There’s always a small part of him that hopes for another confrontation with Azula’s squad just so he can see Ty Lee again. Every time the gaang is on the run from them, Sokka is like “uhhhh hey maybe we should confront Azula this time.” Their fights would have CRAAAZY sexual tension. Eventually the gaang catches on and gives him so much shit for it while Sokka is like “YOU DONT UNDERSTAND WE HAVE A CONNECTION!!”

There would likely be a filler episode where Ty Lee and Sokka end up trapped somewhere and have to work together to get out, which turns their bond from attraction to something deeper (maybe even share a kiss?). They would still return to their respective groups after, but now there’s real pining since they have actual feelings developing.

After betraying Azula, Ty Lee and Mai would escape the boiling rock and join the gaang in the finale to fight the fire nation. That’s when Sokka and Ty Lee would finally get together and we get to see them fight AS A TEAM!!!

Don’t get me wrong, I will always ship Sokka and Suki, but this idea has been living in my head rent free.
